Green Tea Brewing Instructions
Unlock the delicate flavors of green tea with these simple steps:
- Heat water to 175-180°F (not quite boiling).** A kettle with a temperature setting is ideal for green tea.
- Pour hot water over green tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons per 8 oz water) in a teapot or infuser.
- Cover and steep for 2-3 minutes. Green tea should not be over-steeped, as it can become bitter.
- Strain and enjoy! Green tea is traditionally enjoyed without milk or sugar.
- For a milder cup, use less tea or a shorter steeping time.
- High-quality green tea leaves from The Spice Hut will result in a more flavorful and delicate brew.
- Consider using a tea timer to ensure precise steeping times, especially for green tea which can become bitter if over-steeped.
