Grey salt is harvested off of the Atlantic coast of France in a region known as Brittany. Harvesting the salt is carried out in a traditional ages old Celtic method and produces a salt that is moist grey in color and rich in minerals. The grey color is a result of the coloration of the clay lining of the salt ponds that the salt is derived from and the flavor is very "natural" and slightly earthy. Less of a sharp salt flavor than that of modern process salts. | Grey salts are a moist sea salt harvested off the Atlantic coast of France. Rich mineral content.
