Description
Grey salt is harvested off of the Atlantic coast of France in a region known as Brittany. Sourced from France's Guérande region, our Grey Salt offers a distinctive taste and texture. Harvested by hand using traditional methods, this naturally grey-colored salt boasts a moist texture and a complex flavor profile with hints of minerality and brine. Grey Salt is perfect for finishing grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and adding a touch of gourmet flair to your dishes.
Harvesting the salt is carried out in a traditional ages old Celtic method and produces a salt that is moist grey in color and rich in minerals. The grey color is a result of the coloration of the clay lining of the salt ponds that the salt is derived from and the flavor is very "natural" and slightly earthy. Less of a sharp salt flavor than that of modern process salts.
