FLUFFY TASTEY BAKED GOLDEN MILK DONUTS WITH AN EASY CREAM CHEESE FROSTING, A HOMEMADE RECIPE TO SATISFY.
Golden Milk is well known to have many benefits so why not put it in one of our favorite treats?
1 cup all-purpose flour or gluten free flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon of Spice hut golden milk powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup of milk / creamer of choice or non dairy creamer
1 egg room temperature
1/4 cup butter melted
Cream Cheese frosting:
1/2 cup cream cheese or non dairy cream cheese
1/2 cup whip cream or non dairy cream cheese
teaspoon of sugar
TOPPINGS: mini chocolate chips sprinkles, etc. (optional)
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Grease a donut pan. Set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, Golden milk. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together, egg, sugar and milk or milk alternative.
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
Stir gently JUST until dry ingredients are combined (no need to over stir)
Stir in butter and stir JUST until butter is combined.
Spoon batter into prepared doughnut pan, filling 3/4 full.
Bake for 6-7 minutes till golden.
Allow donuts to sit in pan until they have cooled down enough to remove from pan.
Remove donuts from pan and place on cooling rack to finish cooling.
While donuts are cooling, prepare frosting by stirring together whip cream,
cream cheese, and sugar, Set aside. Spread frosting in a thin layer over donuts and let set.
or use icing bag. Add toppings if desired.
