What’s better than my moms hand-me-down platters that I use for everything? Nothing really..... but creating the smokey flavor of a smoker or BBQ is up there.

For these T-Bones, we sprinkled on The Spice Hut’Red Pepper Garlic and Smoked Salt and let them sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes. And as it is currently pouring down rain in the Pacific Northwest I didn’t take pictures of the meat on the grill, but I sure let my husband stand in it to make the perfect smokey meal.

Will you get the full flavor of cooking in a smoker all day? Of course not. But if you want a subtle hint of smoke without investing in an expensive smoker, this salt satisfies the taste buds.

Add a little or a lot, or let it “marinate” in the Smoked Salt (alone or combined with your other favorite seasonings) for a few hours in the refrigerator to allow the salt to tenderize and infuse as much of the smokey flavor as possible.

Served up with mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob, this was an amazing smokey summertime meal. Even in the PNW rain.
